When you create a SendKudos account we collect the information you give us directly — your name, email address, username, and profile details. If you set up payouts, we collect the bank account, mobile money, or identity verification (KYC) details required by our payment processors and by law.

When a fan sends a tip or backs a campaign, we collect the tipper's name or handle, the amount, currency, and any public message they choose to leave — we do not store full card numbers ourselves; card and transfer details are handled directly by our payment processor, Paystack.

We also collect basic technical data automatically — device type, browser, IP address, and pages visited — to keep the service secure and to understand how it's used.

We use your information to:

• Operate your creator page, process tips, and run payouts to your bank or mobile money account.
• Verify your identity where required for payouts or fraud prevention.
• Send transactional emails — new tip notifications, payout confirmations, security alerts.
• Improve the product and diagnose issues.
• Comply with legal, tax, and anti-money-laundering obligations.

We share the minimum data necessary with the vendors that make SendKudos work: Paystack for payment processing and payouts, our hosting and database providers, and analytics tools. These vendors are contractually required to use your data only to provide their service to us. We do not sell your personal information.

Your public creator page — display name, bio, and the tips or campaign progress you choose to make visible — is, by design, visible to anyone with the link.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences like your dashboard theme. We use a small number of analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage of the site; you can control cookies through your browser settings.

We keep account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations. You can request deletion of your account at any time; some transaction records may be retained where required by law.

We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, access controls, and regular reviews — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
