Terms of Service

By creating a SendKudos account or a public creator page, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use SendKudos.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your country, to create a creator account and receive payouts. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us, including for identity verification (KYC) required to enable payouts.

You control the content on your public page — bio, links, and campaigns. You're responsible for that content and for making sure it doesn't violate these terms or the law. We may remove content or suspend a page that we reasonably believe is fraudulent, abusive, or illegal.

Your page can include a Shop tab. Each item in it is a link to somewhere you sell it — your own store or another site. SendKudos does not take payment for, deliver, or guarantee anything sold through those links, and is not a party to those sales; payment, delivery, and refunds are between the buyer and you. You are responsible for what you link to. You may not link to anything that breaks these terms or the law, including adult content, counterfeit or stolen goods, or illegal goods and services. We may add tracking tags (such as utm_source=sendkudos) to those links so you can see visits from your page; you can turn this off in your Shop settings.

Your page can also include a Chats tab that links to groups you run in other apps, such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, or Slack. You choose who is shown each invite link (everyone, signed-in visitors, or members). Those groups are run by you, not by SendKudos: we do not host, monitor, or moderate them, and you are responsible for what happens in them and for following the rules of the app they are on and these terms. We may remove a link that points to unlawful or prohibited content.

Fans send tips, gifts, and crowdfunding contributions voluntarily; they are not refundable except where required by law or at our discretion in cases of fraud or error. A gift is a tip with a fixed price. A gift paid in another currency is charged at its converted price or the minimum amount for that currency, whichever is higher.

SendKudos charges a platform fee on payments, shown in full on our pricing page. The rate depends on your plan and on how the payment was made (Naira, another currency, or paid directly to a Stripe account you have connected). The fee covers our payment partners' processing costs on the payment itself and is deducted automatically before funds reach your balance. When you withdraw to a bank account, a small transfer fee charged by our payment partner is passed on at cost and shown on your payout.

You can offer a paid monthly membership that gives fans access to members-only posts, photos, and video. A membership renews each month until the member cancels. Cancelling stops the next charge, and the member keeps access until the end of the period they have already paid for. Payments already made are not refunded except where required by law or at our discretion, for example for a duplicate or mistaken charge. We may end a membership, and refund it, if the content or the page breaks these terms.

To protect members and meet our payment partners' rules, a page must be reviewed by SendKudos before it can publish members-only content. We may withdraw that approval at any time if the content breaks these terms.

If you create a joint page with other creators, you are responsible for agreeing the split between you. We pay out according to the split set on the page and are not a party to disagreements between collaborators.

Referral rewards are described in your dashboard and may change. We may withhold or reverse rewards earned through fake or duplicate accounts or any other abuse of the programme.

Payouts are sent to the bank account or mobile money wallet you connect, once your identity verification is complete. We may delay or decline a payout if we suspect fraud, if verification is incomplete, or as required by our payment processors or applicable law.

You agree not to use SendKudos to:

• Solicit tips for illegal goods, services, or activity.
• Misrepresent who you are or impersonate someone else.
• Launder money or evade sanctions, tax, or reporting obligations.
• Attempt to circumvent our fees or manipulate tip and campaign totals.
• Interfere with or abuse the platform, including through automated means.
• Publish, sell, or promote sexually explicit or pornographic material, or offer or advertise sexual services. SendKudos is for tips and support for real work, not adult content.
• Share any sexual content involving a minor, or intimate images of anyone without their consent. We report this to the authorities.

These rules apply equally to everything you publish, including members-only and paid content. We may review any content on your page, members-only content included, when we receive a report or have reason to believe these terms are being broken. If we find a violation we may remove the content, suspend your page, and hold or decline payouts, and where the law requires it we will report illegal content to the relevant authorities. Our payment partners also prohibit adult content, so we cannot make exceptions.

You can close your account at any time from your dashboard settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonably possible. Outstanding balances owed to you will still be paid out, subject to standard verification.

SendKudos is provided “as is.” We work hard to keep the platform reliable and secure but don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, SendKudos isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes by email or through the dashboard before they take effect.
